- GMC’s Sierra EV Denali has two battery options and a lower starting price for 2025
- All Sierra EV Denalis continue to deliver a maximum 754 hp
- More models including a rugged AT4 arrive next year
GMC’s Sierra EV Denali enters its second year on the market with a new battery option that helps lower the price of entry.
The 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali is arriving at dealerships now and GMC on Monday confirmed a starting price of $91,995, including a $2,095 destination charge.
That’s with a newly available 170-kwh Extended Range battery that GMC estimates will deliver 390 miles of range.
Buyers looking for more range can opt for a 205-kwh Max Range battery that boosts the range estimate to 460 miles. The 2025 Sierra EV Denali with the Max Range battery starts at $100,495, including destination.

Thanks to an 800-volt electrical system, DC fast-charging at up to 350 kw is possible, which would enable 100 miles of range to be added in around 10 minutes, according to GMC.
All 2025 Sierra EV Denalis come standard with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain rated at a maximum 754 hp. That output is only a temporary figure, available when the truck is in its Max Power mode. GMC hasn’t said how much horsepower the truck normally delivers.
Other features include 24-inch wheels, adaptive air suspension, and GMC’s flexible midgate and tailgate that enable the bed length to be extended to almost 11. Towing capacity is a claimed 10,500 pounds.

For buyers willing to wait, GMC has more options coming in the first half of next year. These will include new Elevation and AT4 models. GMC hasn’t said what features will be included on those electric trucks, but the AT4 designation signals the addition of off-road upgrades.
When it arrived for the 2024 model year, the Sierra EV Denali was priced from $99,495, and was only available in a special Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 configuration which packed the Max Range battery and had a 440-mile range.
GMC was able to boost the range by 20 miles on the 2025 model thanks to efficiency improvements to some of the electric powertrain’s components. Those same improvements also benefited the related 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV.
