2025 New York Auto Show

The 2025 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) is set to commemorate its 125th anniversary with an exciting lineup of events and exhibits that highlight both the rich history and the future of the automotive world. Scheduled from April 18 to 27, 2025, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, the show promises a unique blend of innovation, nostalgia, and hands-on experiences.

Event Details and Schedule

Public show dates run from Friday, April 18, through Sunday, April 27, with daily hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and shortened hours on Sundays until 7 p.m. The official opening day celebration kicks off on Saturday, April 19, at 8:30 a.m., with doors to the show floor opening at 10 a.m. Media and industry professionals get early access during preview days on April 16 and 17, requiring credentials.

Special Exhibits and Attractions

To mark its 125th anniversary, the show will feature several standout attractions:

  • Live Porsche Build by Akira Nakai: Legendary Porsche tuner Akira Nakai will appear at the show for the first time to perform a live, two-day build of a 2006 Porsche Carrera S. Nakai is globally recognized for his radical, wide-body RWB Porsche builds, and his appearance is sure to draw crowds.

  • Expanded EV Test Track: Electric vehicles continue to dominate headlines, and the Auto Show reflects this with an expanded EV Test Track. Attendees can get behind the wheel and feel the performance and handling of the newest electric models in a real-world test setting.

  • Camp Jeep Experience: A longtime favorite, Camp Jeep returns with an indoor off-road course that lets visitors experience the trail-rated capabilities of Jeep vehicles firsthand. With steep inclines, uneven surfaces, and surprise twists, it’s a thrilling ride for all ages.

  • Golden Era Exhibit: This special display takes visitors on a nostalgic journey through automotive history, showcasing iconic vehicles from decades past and honoring the designs that helped shape modern motoring.

Vehicle Debuts and Industry Innovations

Though automakers typically keep their big reveals under wraps until the show, attendees can expect unveilings of new 2025 and 2026 models from major manufacturers. The NYIAS has long been a stage for world premieres and cutting-edge concepts, and this year is no exception.

Family-Friendly Activities

The show offers something for all ages. Kids can enjoy simulators, interactive exhibits, and engaging displays designed to entertain and educate. Parents will appreciate the mix of entertainment and innovation, with plenty of Instagram-worthy moments throughout the floor.

Celebrity Appearances

Celebrity appearances add excitement each year, with past guests including comedians, athletes, and entertainers. While the 2025 lineup hasn’t been announced, fans can expect surprise visits from high-profile names.

Planning Your Visit

Located in the heart of Manhattan, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center is easily accessible by subway, bus, ferry, and regional rail. Parking and travel information is readily available to help plan your visit.

Celebrating 125 years, the 2025 New York Auto Show is shaping up to be one of the most memorable yet. From live builds and test tracks to debuts and historic exhibits, it’s a must-attend event for car enthusiasts, families, and industry professionals alike.
