Rolls-Royce’s Arcade-Inspired Black Badge Ghost

Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost Gamer

Rolls-Royce has pushed the boundaries of bespoke craftsmanship once again with its newest one-off commission: the Black Badge Ghost Gamer. Inspired by the neon-lit world of late-1970s and early-1980s arcade gaming, this custom creation pays homage to classics like Space Invaders, Pac-Man, and Donkey Kong. Designed for a tech entrepreneur with a deep sense of nostalgia, the Ghost Gamer blends ultra-luxury design with pixel-era charm in a way no Rolls-Royce has done before.

The exterior delivers instant retro appeal through a bold two-tone finish. Salamanca Blue covers the lower body, while a shimmering Crystal over Diamond Black tops the upper section, mimicking the glossy hardware of vintage arcade cabinets. Along the coachline sits a hand-painted “Cheeky Alien,” created from 89 individual 3 mm by 3 mm squares — a loving nod to old-school pixel art. An illuminated Pantheon grille and 22-inch seven-spoke Black Badge wheels complete the dramatic look, giving the Ghost Gamer the presence expected from Rolls-Royce while leaning into its playful theme.

Inside, the digital nostalgia deepens. The cabin features Black and Casden Tan leather, with each of the four seats embroidered with “Player 1” through “Player 4” in retro gaming font. Hidden treadplates greet occupants with phrases like “PRESS START,” “LOADING…,” “LEVEL UP,” and “INSERT COIN,” adding to the immersive arcade experience. The rear waterfall panel showcases a hand-painted lunar battle scene, complete with vintage sci-fi spacecraft, while the dashboard’s illuminated fascia displays an 85-star pixel-style gunship.

The highlight of the interior is the reinvented Starlight Headliner. Dubbed “Pixel Blaster,” it features 80 fiber-optic battle cruisers arranged in a dynamic pattern that simulates an 8-bit space battle across the ceiling. The result is one of the most visually striking applications of Rolls-Royce’s signature feature to date.

Performance-wise, the Ghost Gamer retains the heart of a standard Black Badge Ghost. A 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 produces 592 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque, enabling a zero-to-60 time of roughly 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. While pricing remains undisclosed, the bespoke nature of this commission means the final cost likely sits well above the Black Badge Ghost’s roughly $443,000 base price.

More than a luxury saloon, the Black Badge Ghost Gamer reflects a growing trend: the blending of retro gaming culture with modern ultra-luxury. It stands as a rolling tribute to the pixel-powered era that shaped a generation — now reimagined through the lens of Rolls-Royce excellence.
