Porsche recently teased the Mission S Concept ahead of its reveal scheduled for October 15. The carmaker has now dropped a few more images that should get enthusiasts really excited.
One of the images shared by Porsche reveals a fan that reminds us of old air-cooled racecar engines. Perhaps they’re hinting at the rumoured flat-8 engine.
As per reports, Porsche is developing an all-new 8-cylinder boxer engine for its next halo model, codenamed “S1”. The exact details, though, are still a mystery.
The teaser images also reveal a rear spoiler, which appears to have been inspired by the Porsche 959. The third image shows a glimpse of the nose section sporting the Porsche shield.
Porsche hasn’t built a proper mid-engine supercar since the 918 Spyder, which makes the Mission S even more significant. Reports suggest that it could be priced under $600,000.
