Bentley has brought its all-new Torcal to New York City for the first time, giving local enthusiasts an early look at the marque’s first fully electric production model. The one-night showcase was held at CART Department in Manhattan’s West Village, following the Torcal’s global debut in London and US debut in Los Angeles.
The car on display was a Torcal S First Edition finished in Sequin Blue, and it certainly knows how to be a showstopper. The sharp LED lighting and illuminated grille dominate the front, while the huge body gives the luxury EV an imposing presence.
There is plenty of performance underneath, too. Two electric motors produce 876 hp and 996 lb-ft of torque, allowing the Torcal to sprint from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds before reaching 162 mph.
Bentley has even given its silent flagship an artificial soundtrack. Inspired by the brand’s legendary 6.75-litre V8, the sound is played through a 1,780-watt, 28-speaker audio system under acceleration.
