The electric Lexus LFA Concept has made its Australian debut at the 2026 Melbourne Cup Carnival. Lexus Australia has shared photos of the car showcased at the event on its social media, but don’t get too excited just yet. This is just a display appearance, not the start of sales.
Finished in matte black, the electric Lexus LFA Concept has a low-slung stance, big wheels and a futuristic design. The rear is particularly striking. A full-width light bar incorporates the Lexus lettering, while an F1-style central light sits low on the bumper.

Lexus is still keeping the technical details under wraps. There are no confirmed figures for power, torque, battery capacity or driving range. Earlier reports have, however, suggested a 0-100 kmph / 62 mph sprint in the low two-second range.
There’s another interesting detail being discussed: simulated gearshifts. The system could let drivers select virtual gears and manage torque during shifts, rather than experiencing the usual uninterrupted delivery of an electric motor.
