The 2027 Cadillac Optiq offers up to 317 miles of range, a massive 33″ infotainment screen, an NACS charge port, and now it’s a bit more affordable.

2027 Cadillac Lyriq prices and driving range

The Optiq first went on sale in 2025 as Cadillac’s entry-level electric SUV, starting at $54,390. For the 2026 model year, the Optiq arrived as GM’s first electric vehicle with a built-in NACS port and added a new rear-wheel-drive (RWD) powertrain.

Thanks to the new RWD option, the 2026 Optiq (see our review) was also slightly less expensive, with prices starting at $52,395.

While GM initially said the 2027 Cadillac Optiq would start at $52,695, prices on its website have been updated and are now slightly lower.

The base 2027 Cadillac Optiq Luxury RWD is now listed at $51,790, or $905 less than the initial price announced months ago. The Luxury AWD trim is also $905 cheaper, starting at $55,290.

Meanwhile, the Sport trim now starts at $52,395 for RWD and $55,895 for AWD, both $900 less than before.

The higher-spec Optiq Premium Luxury, Premium Sport, and V-Series trims remain at the price GM initially announced.

The 2027 Cadillac Optiq offers up to 317 miles of range in the RWD models and 303 miles with AWD. All models come with a standard 33″ Horizon Display infotainment screen, a 19-speaker AKG Studio Audio System, GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver-assist technology, and a native NACS charge port.

(including destination)
Driving Range
Luxury (RWD) $51,790 317 miles
Sport (RWD) $52,395 317 miles
Premium Luxury (RWD) $54,995 317 miles
Premium Sport (RWD) $55,995 317 miles
V-Series (AWD) $69,295 275 miles

Upgrading to AWD costs an extra $3,500. The Premium Luxury and Premium Sport add standard features including a Head-Up Display, ventilated and lumbar massaging front seats, and a rear cargo cover.

The high-performance 2027 Optiq-V starts at $69,295 and delivers a Cadillac-estimated 519 lb-ft of torque and 650 horsepower in Velocity MaX Mode,

How does the Cadillac Optiq stack up against the Tesla Model Y? The base Tesla Model Y RWD starts at $39,990 with up to 321 miles of range, while the AWD version costs $41,990 and gets up to 294 miles.

The Tesla Model Y Premium RWD starts at $45,990 with up to 355 miles of range, while the Premium AWD starts at $49,990 and has 327 miles of range.

Inside, the base Tesla Model Y has a 16″ QHD touchscreen and 7-speaker audio system. The Premium model gains a 15-speaker Tesla Audio System with a subwoofer, plus an 8″ second-row touchscreen.

The two are nearly the same size, but the Tesla Model Y offers slightly more rear legroom and cargo capacity than the Cadillac Optiq.
