As per media reports, more than 55,000 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Lexus GX SUVs have been recalled in China over a potential fuel-line connection defect.
The recall covers 47,347 China-built Land Cruiser Prado hybrids and 8,130 imported Lexus GX 550h hybrids, manufactured between July 2024 and October 2026.

It is being said that an external force could lift the retainers on the fuel-line quick connectors. If this happens, an impact could cause the connector to detach from the fuel line, potentially resulting in a fuel leak.
Toyota dealers in China will inspect the affected connections, fit protective cover plates and replace the fuel-line assemblies where required. The fix is aimed at preventing the connectors from coming loose.
The Chinese recall is said to be different from the Land Cruiser recall in America. While the reported risks appear similar, there is no confirmation that these recalls involve the same components.
