Baltasar Revolt R Concept

The Baltasar Revolt R Concept is the latest evolution in electric track car innovation. Built by the Spanish startup Baltasar, this high-performance EV is designed exclusively for the racetrack, targeting drivers who demand top-tier engineering and electrifying speed without compromise.

Purpose-Built Design and Aerodynamics

The Revolt R’s appearance is aggressive and functional, underpinned by a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque chassis paired with an FIA-compliant chromoly steel roll cage. This combination offers impressive torsional rigidity and crash protection. The exterior benefits from significant aerodynamic improvements: a sharp front splitter, sculpted side skirts, and a large active rear wing. The rear wing includes a Drag Reduction System (DRS) that can be controlled via the steering wheel, allowing the driver to balance downforce and drag for optimal performance on straights and corners.

Track-Focused Performance

Although Baltasar hasn’t released official specifications for the R Concept’s powertrain, it’s expected to outperform the original Baltasar Revolt. That model featured twin rear-mounted electric motors producing 500 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque. The R Concept’s upgrades suggest an even higher output, paired with an ultra-light weight of under 800 kg (1,763 lbs). This gives the car a phenomenal power-to-weight ratio, ensuring explosive acceleration and razor-sharp handling that’s tailor-made for competitive track sessions.

Battery and Charging Innovations

One of the standout features of the Revolt R is its advanced battery and charging system. Thanks to a high-voltage 700-volt architecture, the battery can recharge from 0 to 80% in just five minutes using a compatible DC fast charger. This capability allows drivers to maximize track time with minimal downtime, making the Revolt R a practical option for back-to-back hot laps. The battery system is developed in collaboration with fast-charging specialists, ensuring reliability and peak performance.

Driver-Centric Interior and Customization

Inside the cockpit, the Revolt R is a purist’s dream. There’s seating for one in a carbon fiber FIA-homologated racing seat, with a minimalist layout centered around a detachable Formula-style steering wheel. Every unit is hand-built and tailored to customer preferences, from seat positioning to steering configuration, emphasizing the bespoke, artisanal nature of the vehicle.

Exclusivity and Market Position

With a price tag starting around €450,000 (approximately $510,000), the Baltasar Revolt R Concept is clearly aimed at elite enthusiasts. Its performance, exclusivity, and cutting-edge technology place it in competition with top-tier track-only vehicles from established marques. But the Revolt R offers something different — a fully electric, lightweight experience that doesn’t compromise on emotion or adrenaline.

The Baltasar Revolt R Concept is not just an EV — it’s a vision of what electric track driving should feel like: pure, raw, and exhilarating.
