Giamaro Katla

In the heart of Italy’s Motor Valley, a new contender has emerged to challenge the hypercar elite. Giamaro Automobili, founded by Giacomo and Pierfrancesco Commendatore, has unveiled its inaugural masterpiece: the Katla. This audacious machine boasts a 7.0-liter quad-turbocharged V12 engine, delivering a staggering 2,157 horsepower and 2,008 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm—all channeled to the rear wheels.

The Katla’s engine is a marvel of engineering, featuring a unique 120-degree “hot-V” configuration that positions all four turbochargers within the engine’s V. This setup enhances throttle response, lowers the center of gravity, and contributes to a near-perfect 42:58 weight distribution, resulting in razor-sharp handling. Power is transmitted through a 7-speed automated manual gearbox, while an 11-speed dual-clutch transmission is currently under development.

At its core is a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis weighing just 170 kg, contributing to an overall weight of around 1,450 kg. The suspension features CNC-machined aluminum double wishbones and electronically adjustable dampers, offering superb adaptability for track or road. Braking power is delivered via massive 420 mm carbon-ceramic discs with 10-piston calipers up front and 410 mm discs with 4-piston calipers at the rear.

Visually, the Katla blends aggressive lines with aerodynamic efficiency, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.33. Its rear-biased silhouette and dynamic surfaces make it instantly recognizable. Inside, the aviation-inspired cockpit features a fighter jet-style central console, carbon fiber and aluminum finishes, and an immersive, driver-centric layout. Customization is extensive, allowing each buyer to tailor the Katla’s dynamics and aesthetics to their exact preferences.

Production will be limited to just 100 units, each priced at €2.47 million (around $2.8 million) before taxes. Despite its recent unveiling, 20 cars have already been reserved, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2027.

With the Katla, Giamaro Automobili isn’t just entering the hypercar game—it’s making a statement. By combining raw power, cutting-edge engineering, and Italian design flair, the Katla redefines what a hypercar can be and sets a bold tone for the brand’s future.
