When you’re a multibillionaire, you can afford any car you want, even when that car only exists in your head.
That’s exactly the case with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who recently purchased a Porsche Cayenne minivan for his wife, Priscilla Chan.
Porsche doesn’t offer a Cayenne minivan, so Zuckerberg turned to West Coast Customs, the vehicle customizer made famous by MTV’s “Pimp My Ride” series, to build the vehicle.
Photos posted to Zuckerberg’s Instagram page show the vehicle complete with minivan-style sliding doors. There’s no shot of the interior, but there’s likely to be three rows of seats, possibly in a 2+2+2 configuration. The CEO of Meta Platforms said he helped design the vehicle.
Rather than go with a standard Cayenne, Zuckerberg chose the most potent model in the lineup, the Cayenne Turbo GT. This model is based on the Cayenne Coupe body style, resulting in the Cayenne minivan having an almost fastback design. That will go well with the 631-hp twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 under the hood.
Zuckerberg is a fan of Porsches and also purchased a 911 GT3 Touring complete with a manual transmission to park alongside the minivan. Both vehicles feature the same gray exterior paint to make them a “his and hers” match.
Zuckerberg is far from unique in his desire for a Porsche with extra seats. Due to overwhelming demand, Porsche is working on a new flagship SUV that will boast three rows. It’s due around 2027, so maybe Zuckerberg can swap to the new model then.
