Six years. That’s the short period of time in which Genesis has thoroughly rethought the G90 flagship luxury sedan three times. As the saying goes, third time’s the charm. The 2023 Genesis G90 exudes elegance and style and glides into its next stage of its young life with fewer cylinders, an optional mild-hybrid system, a new design inside and out, and new mechanical tricks as it aims for a swath of the luxury market seemingly left behind by Lexus. 2023 Genesis G90 Electrified, but not electric The smooth 5.0-liter V-8 of yore is gone. RIP. The base 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6…

Roy RitchieCar and Driver Before we start, a moment of silence for the stick-shift-equipped models we’ve lost recently. Chances are the manual transmission won’t be with us much longer. It’s a dying breed. But don’t have your left foot removed just yet: there are still new cars available in the United States with a manual gearbox. (A handful of SUVs come with them, too, but we covered those in a separate list.) If you’re after a row-it-yourself driving experience, one of these cars should do the job.Additional reporting by Scott Oldham. Advertisement – Continue Reading Below The first car on…

Aston Martin has been spotted testing an updated version of its DB11 grand tourer. The DB11 originally arrived for the 2017 model year, and the changes made to the updated version may be significant enough to warrant a new name. The updated car carries over most of the styling of the current version, though it has a new front end with a much larger grille and hood and front fenders that are now separate, as opposed to the current—and costly—design where the front hood and fenders are combined as one giant piece of rolled aluminum. The headlights are also a…

What wasn’t the 80s the golden age of? Just think about it: when it comes to music, cars, clothes, and more, there wasn’t a time quite like the 1980s. The ethos of the 80s was all about being loud, vibrant, bold, and timelessly cool. This undoubtedly extended to the cars of the 80s, and the decade gave us car enthusiasts some of the greatest cultural icons with four wheels. Brands like Lamborghini, Porsche, and Ferrari solidified their incredible legacies in this decade with cars that won the hearts of the entire world, being immortalized on bedroom posters, movies, TV shows…

Godzilla lives for another year. On Thursday in Japan the 2024 Nissan GT-R debuted with revised aerodynamics, tweaked fascias, and the return of both the T-spec and some notable heritage colors.  Nissan hasn’t said how much the revised 2024 GT-R will cost when it goes on sale in the spring. The timing will mark a short run for the 2023 GT-R, which was announced in October after the model skipped out on 2022. Far from new, the 2024 version of Godzilla will come in Premium, T-spec, and NISMO trims. All three versions feature revised aerodynamics that increase downforce while reducing…

If you happen to find yourself in a drag race with a Rimac Nevera, good luck. Rimac may not be as famous as some hypercar brands like Ferrari, or EV leaders like Tesla, but they’re producing blazing fast supercars. In fact, the Rimac Nevera has already raced itself to the history books, being the fastest electric vehicle (EV) in the world as measured by top speed. When it comes to combustion versus electric motors, the former often produce the highest top speeds while the latter are frequently faster off the line. Consider the performance variants of Tesla Model S, which…

Tesla has once again lowered prices. As of Thursday the automaker’s online configurator shows price cuts for every model in its lineup. The Model Y received the biggest cut, of about 20% across the lineup. Including the new, higher $1,390 destination fee, the base Model Y Long Range now starts at $54,380, while the Model Y Performance now starts at $58,380. There might be a good reason for that deeper cut to the Model Y. Five-passenger versions of the Model Y qualify for the new clean-vehicle tax credit as passenger cars—meaning that buyers can claim $7,500 (likely through March) if…
