Cadillac is giving buyers the opportunity to customize the flagship electric SUV through its bespoke program, which will be hand-built in Michigan. The catch? It’s not going to be cheap.

Cadillac Escalade IQ gets the hand-built treatment

If you’ve ever wanted to design your own custom Escalade down to the last detail, now’s your chance.

Cadillac launched “Curated by Cadillac Escalade IQ” on Tuesday, a bespoke, ultra-exclusive customization program that lets you create a one-of-one vehicle from millions of design combinations.

“We’re extending the hand-built CELESTIQ experience to deliver true customization capabilities for a select number of ESCALADE IQ clients,” Cadillac’s global vice president, Kristian Equilina, said.

Each client is assigned a dedicated design concierge who will guide them through the customization process. More than 160 premium exterior colors and finishes, from solids to metallics, tri-coats, frosts, and mattes.

As for the interior, clients can choose from a palette of up to 44 colors to create combinations across all three rows of seating, the center console, and floor mats.

Each Curated by Cadillac Escalade IQ model will be hand-painted and hand-built at the Artisan Center in Warren, Michigan. The custom models are marked with a unique VIN and an exclusive serialized builder’s badge.

Cadillac said the Curated program is about more than just customization with the “reassurance of Cadillac quality materials and warranty support,” because accidents still happen, even in an ultra-luxe flagship SUV.

Powered by a massive 212 kWh (205 kWh usable) battery pack, the Cadillac Escalade IQ (check out our review) provides up to 465 miles of estimated range.

The dual-motor electric powertrain delivers a combined 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque with Velocity Max, enabling the big-body SUV to hit 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds.

Inside, the flagship SUV is even more impressive with a massive 55″ Horizon display screen and GM’s Super Cruise driver assistance technology. The 2028 Cadillac Escalade IQ will be GM’s first to debut with eyes-off driving on highways.

Measuring 224.3″ long, 94.1″ wide, and 76.1″ tall, with a wheelbase of 136.2″, the Cadillac Escalade IQ is about the size of the Chevy Suburban and GMC Yukon.

The IQL model is even bigger, measuring 228.5″ in length, 94.1″ in width, and 78.5″ in height, with a wheelbase of 136.2″.

Every Curated by Cadillac Escalade IQ will be hand-built at the Artisan Center in Warren, Michigan, for the 2027 model year. The vehicle will be sold in the US and Canada, with deliveries expected to begin in the second half of 2027.

Regarding pricing, the Curated by Cadillac package for the Escalade IQ is $54,995, and that doesn’t include the vehicle’s price. For that, you could buy an entirely new vehicle.

The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ starts at $127,405. With an extra $54,995 for the Curated program, the total would be around $182,400.

Would you pay nearly $200,000 for a one-of-one custom Escalade IQ? Drop us a comment below.
