Chevy SUVs: Smallest to Largest

Chevrolet boasts a long and storied history of producing SUVs and crossovers. In fact, some automotive pundits and historians point to the 1935 Chevy Carryall Suburban as the very first SUV. If that original Suburban ignited the fuse of SUV production at Chevrolet, the full-size, truck-based 1969 Blazer with a removable convertible top was the explosion, creating the foundation for today’s crop of Chevy SUVs.

Read on for the carmaker’s lineup of smallest to largest SUVs to find out which one works best for you.

What Are Chevrolet’s SUVs from the Smallest to the Largest?

Chevy boasts a glorious selection of SUVs and crossovers from the spirited Boston Terrier Trax to the Bullmastiff Suburban. It’s an eclectic collection concentrating on hauling families, literally offering something for every family’s needs. All but the entry-level front-wheel-drive (FWD) Trax offer all-wheel drive (AWD) or 4-wheel drive (4WD). Of course, moving up to the Tahoe and Suburban brings serious towing capability to the table. There are even a couple of fully electric vehicles (EVs) in the mix.

We list the carmaker’s SUV/crossover lineup below. Note the subcompact Chevy Bolt electric vehicle in 2027.
