From BRM pin-drive wheels wrapped in Avon CR6ZZ tires to CNC-machined aluminum suspension components and a stainless-steel “bundle of snakes” exhaust, every element has been thoughtfully engineered. Even the seats replicate the original GT40’s leather grommeted design, complemented by Willans 5-point harnesses and a period-correct Personal Fitti steering wheel.

But this isn’t just a show car—it’s a media star and a cultural icon. The DVR GT40 has graced the pages and screens of Road & Track, Petrolicious and Hagerty’s “Why I Drive” series. It’s been immortalized in the Gran Turismo video game and recreated as a 1/8 scale model by master craftsman Karsten Schmidt of Fine Model Cars. It even featured in a Hagerty commercial during the U.S. broadcast of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The engineering spec sheet reads like a race team’s dream: dual 10-gallon fuel tanks with independent systems, a Tilton aluminum reservoir system, Wilwood 6-piston brakes with vented rotors, and aviation-grade fasteners and wiring throughout. Even the aluminum rear clip supports, AC system, and custom dash switches were built with an obsessive commitment to quality.
