- An Infiniti QX65 coupe-like SUV is coming soon
- The QX65 will share its underpinnings with the three-row QX60
- An updated version of the QX60 will arrive around the same time as the QX65
Infiniti with its limited lineup is in dire need of new products, but relief is coming, and soon.
Following the introduction of the redesigned 2025 Infiniti QX80 full-size SUV last year, the next major addition to the lineup will be a new coupe-like SUV, which was recently spotted in prototype form.
Dubbed the QX65, Infiniti confirmed the new model in late 2023 with an official teaser image. Expected to arrive in late 2024 or early 2025, the QX65 will likely debut as a 2026 model for the U.S. market. It will serve as a sportier, two-row alternative to the QX60 midsize SUV, with which it shares its underpinnings.
Spy shots of the QX65 prototype show it testing alongside an updated QX60, suggesting both models may debut around the same time. The QX65 will adopt Infiniti’s latest design language, first seen on the 2025 QX80, including split headlights featuring the brand’s signature Piano Key daytime running lights and a bold grille with vertical slats inspired by a bamboo forest. A sculpted Infiniti logo will sit prominently atop the grille. At the rear, the fastback roofline evokes the spirit of the Infiniti FX, the brand’s pioneering coupe-style SUV from the 2000s. A full-width taillight strip further enhances the modern aesthetic.

Inside, the QX65 is expected to share much of its cabin design with the QX60, meaning a decent level of standard equipment including a 12.3-inch infotainment display and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Details on the QX65’s powertrain remain unconfirmed, but there are a couple of likely options. The 2025 QX60 recently dropped the standard 3.5-liter V-6 in favor of a 2.0-liter turbo-4 producing 268 hp, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission that allows for 6,000 pounds of towing capacity. It’s possible Infiniti will fit the QX65 with this setup, though a more exciting option would be the 450-hp twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 found in the QX80, giving the QX65 the performance to match its sporty styling. While the QX60 comes standard with front-wheel drive, the QX65 may lean into its performance-oriented nature by offering all-wheel drive as standard.
Infiniti also offers a smaller QX55 coupe-like crossover related to the QX50 compact crossover. However, both models are reportedly getting dropped after the 2025 model year.
