Pininfarina has officially unveiled what it calls the final bespoke version of its groundbreaking electric hypercar, the Battista. Named the Battista Novantacinque, this one-off stunner was revealed in Turin and commemorates a major milestone: the 95th anniversary of the iconic Italian design house founded by Battista “Pinin” Farina in 1930.
The Novantacinque—Italian for ninety-five—is not only a tribute to nearly a century of automotive design excellence but also marks the swan song for the Battista, production of which is scheduled to end by year’s close. As CEO Paolo Dellachà stated, “It is only befitting that the Novantacinque is the final expression of the Battista line… an icon to be treasured for generations.”
A Unique Design for a Historic Occasion
Draped in a mesmerizing Exposed Signature Carbon Tinted Rosso Gloss finish, the Novantacinque is accentuated by a gold pinstripe and bespoke “Novantacinque” lettering across its rear wing. Its wheels and brake calipers are blacked out for a stealthy, high-performance look.
The cabin continues the exclusivity with black and gold leather and Alcantara seats, accompanied by special aluminum rotary controls unique to this car. Even the floor mats are custom-designed to reflect what Pininfarina describes as a singular vision of Italian elegance.
Battista Performance Lives On
Underneath the bespoke exterior lies the same monstrous setup that defines every Battista: four independent electric motors producing a combined 1,900 horsepower. This propels the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 217 mph—despite tipping the scales at 5,247 pounds. It remains one of the quickest accelerating road cars in the world.
Only 150 Battistas are scheduled for production, each priced north of $2 million. While Pininfarina carefully left room for interpretation by saying this is the “last bespoke Battista to be unveiled,” it’s clear that the Novantacinque is the closing chapter of a very exclusive story.
