An official teaser video of the Range Rover GT has been shared on the brand’s social media channels. The footage shows the upcoming electric SUV drifting in snow and tackling sand dunes.
It is to be noted that the Range Rover GT shown in the video is a pre-production model. With this teaser, the company is sharing the capabilities of its new electric SUV. The caption says that the EV has been tested across 700,000 km (434,959 miles) in extreme environments, with temperatures ranging from -40 deg C to +50 deg C.
Land Rover also released a bunch of official images earlier last month. The Range Rover GT stands out with its gently sloping roofline, lower stance and a sleek, almost wagon-like silhouette. It features a simplistic cabin with screens as well as physical controls. There are also frameless doors, and the overall layout feels airy.
In related news, Land Rover is reportedly slowing development of the next-generation Defender, with both the full-size SUV and its planned electric variant now pushed into the 2030s. That makes the upcoming Range Rover Electric the clear priority.
