The recently revealed Jaguar Type 01 is coming to Australia. The electric grand tourer is expected to start at around $300,000 before on-road costs.
The luxury four-door GT was designed, engineered and built in the UK, and stays remarkably close to the Type 00 concept that previewed Jaguar’s new design direction. It features a huge grille, frameless windows, concealed tail-lights and an unusual rear-end treatment without a conventional rear windscreen.

Inside, the Jaguar Type 01 takes a minimalist approach, with a 7.0-inch vertical touchscreen, wide digital driver display and two-spoke steering wheel. All four occupants get 12-way adjustable seats.
Performance is another major talking point. Three electric motors produce a combined 1,016 hp and 1,007 lb-ft of torque, sending the GT from 0-62 mph in a claimed 3.2 seconds.

A 118kWh battery provides up to 450 miles of WLTP range.
Australian order and delivery details will be announced later.
