Porsche is giving its infotainment system a major upgrade, with the latest generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) promising up to five times more computing power than its predecessor. The new hardware should make the system quicker to start, reduce loading times and handle multiple applications more smoothly.
The update also brings Porsche Digital Interaction to the 911, Taycan, Panamera and combustion-powered and hybrid Cayenne models. The interface gets five selectable themes, customisable widgets and a 3D representation of the actual car. Owners can rotate a virtual version of their vehicle in its exterior colour and access certain settings directly through it.

Voice control has also taken a step forward. The AI-powered Voice Pilot uses a large language model to understand natural speech, follow-up questions and multi-step requests. It can handle navigation, entertainment and selected vehicle functions.
Other additions include 3D navigation maps, real-time traffic updates, an improved EV charging planner, Apple Music integration and Dolby Atmos support for compatible Bose and Burmester systems. Over-the-air updates are included too. The new PCM will gradually reach newly produced Porsche models, depending on market and production date.
