The 2024 Alfa Romeo Tonale will be hitting dealers very soon, so Alfa has opened up the order books and announced pricing for the plug-in hybrid SUV. The base Sprint model will start at $44,590 including destination charge. Akio Toyoda, the grandson of Toyota founder Kiichiro Toyoda, is leaving his position as president and CEO of Toyota to become its chairman, the automaker announced on Thursday. His successor has been named as Koji Sato, the current chief of Lexus and chief of Gazoo, the official motorsports department of Toyota and Lexus. Toyota’s current chairman, Takeshi Uchiyamada, will remain as a board member after Toyoda takes over as chairman. The changes are effective April 1. “Gymkhana 2022” was a worthy addition to the popular gymkhana viral video series started by Ken Block, with plenty of insane stunts performed by Travis Pastrana in his 1983 Subaru GL wagon called the Family Huckster. But nearly every stunt in the video almost didn’t happen. Subaru of America’s “Launch Control” YouTube show is doing a three-part behind-the-scenes look called “Road to Gymkhana 2022” showing just how much of a scramble it was to overcome injuries, mechanical issues, and plain old bad luck.
