In August, we found out about Montana’s Go Fast Campers (GFC), maker of Swiss army knife pickup bed wedge tents. The tent bed sat on a convertible platform allowing various kinds of reclining as well as an 8-foot standup height inside the pickup bed, the structure’s three locking panels created a topper that also provided shade plus weather and cargo protection, and the pickup bed could be used for its intended hauling purposes with the tent installed. The 2023 Genesis GV60 Performance is the top-level version of Genesis’ electric SUV. It unlocks the best acceleration and handling that this crossover has to offer, and it’s surprisingly fun to drive. With the Performance model, Genesis adds in a more powerful front motor, replacing the standard AWD model’s less potent front motor. This inherently makes the Performance quicker in all driving situations, but the model also adds a “Boost” mode. Audi’s A6 family is about to expand to include an electric member, and a prototype has just been spotted. The electric variant is the A6 E-Tron, which Audi first previewed in 2021 with a thinly veiled concept version. The automaker followed up the original concept with an A6 Avant E-Tron concept earlier this year, hinting strongly the A6 E-Tron will be offered in both sedan and wagon body styles (Avant is Audi’s name for wagons). Acura plans to revive its ZDX nameplate for a mid-size electric SUV due in 2023, and on Tuesday the automaker released photos of a prototype for a sporty Type S variant. Prototypes for the regular variant are also out testing. The new ZDX is one of the two electric SUVs announced by Acura parent company Honda in 2020.
