Mercedes has officially closed the door on bringing a V8 engine back to the current-generation AMG C63, even as the company extends V8 production for larger models through 2035. I’m not trying to pick on the O.G. Nissan Leaf. It was a groundbreaking car that brought electrification to the masses before anything else. But it wasn’t exactly a long-range EV.
