A camouflaged prototype of the midsize SUV was photographed on Highway 101 in Morgan Hill, about 40 miles south of Lucid’s headquarters in Newark. Tesla is making a strong comeback in Australia, and the stretched Model Y L appears to be playing a significant role in the turnaround. The brand delivered 5,654 vehicles in September 2026, up 21.3% compared with the same month last year, according to Electric Vehicle Council data.
