Rivian’s 2026 production and delivery output has accelerated steadily through the year as it now ramps up R2 production: Q1 2026: Produced 10,236 vehicles and delivered 10,365. BMW could soon have another 5 Series wearing a police livery in Australia, with the latest-generation 540d now being evaluated by New South Wales Police. The sedan has been handed over for a three-week survey process to determine whether it is suitable for wider use in Highway Patrol duties. Tesla says its new “Emergency Drive Away” feature can do up to $25,000 in damage to a Supercharger every time someone uses it, and the car needs a mandatory service visit too.
