Mazda has built a special edition Miata for Japan called the Mazda Roadster FSW Ver. 2. Conceived by four local dealerships: Kanto Mazda, Shizuoka Mazda, Tokai Mazda, and Koshin Mazda, it is the only MX-5 ND to be offered in Sunflower Yellow since 2014.
Limited to just 6 examples, this Mazda Roadster is rarer than most million-dollar hypercars.
The Mazda Roadster FSW Ver. 2 is based on the Roadster S Special Package finished in Jet Black Mica. The cars are repainted by Mazda’s subsidiary that builds concept cars.
The Sunflower Yellow exterior is complemented by a sporty aero package that includes a black splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser with dual exhausts, and matching badges and door handles.
It also comes with the Touring Package, which adds features like adaptive LED headlights, heated seats, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and more.
Powering the special edition Miata is a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that puts out 134 hp and 112 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, which sends power to the rear axle.
The Mazda Roadster FSW Ver. 2 is priced at 4.7 million yen, which is approximately $29,900. The owners will be chosen through a lottery during the Mazda Fan Fest event at Fuji Speedway on October 3.
