A Chevrolet Camaro may seem like a less sensible choice than the bowtie brand’s Malibu sedan, but it’s actually cheaper to lease a Camaro than a Malibu right now despite a big difference in starting prices, according to CarsDirect. As outlined in Chevy’s latest dealer leasing bulletin, leases for a 2023 Malibu LT (one rung below the top 2LT trim level) start at $289 a month for 24 months with $3,629 due at signing. That rate is available through Jan. 31 and assumes 10,000 miles of driving per year. The 2023 Malibu has a base price of $29,195 with destination,…
There’s nothing quite like the Porsche 911, and nothing will be. It’s one of the greatest icons in the car world, and for good reason. The Porsche 911 is one of the most classic and iconic sports cars to have ever been made, and it’s quite a unique one, as well. Its distinctive shape is instantly recognizable, with its round headlights and rear engine, something that is very rare in today’s car world. Even after its many decades of existence, the Porsche 911’s formula is something that still makes for a wonderful sports car that’s exciting and fun to drive,…

Imagine buying a factory-fresh Lamborghini, parking it, and then never driving it for decades. That’s essentially what the owner, or in this case owners, of this 1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition did. (It also happened to a McLaren F1, which seems even crazier.) The car, which bears chassis number ZA9CA05A7LLA12718, has just 249 kilometers (approximately 155 miles) on its odometer. It also has its original Pirelli P Zero tires, which by now will be too dangerous to drive on at speed. The mileage figure is a little more than the delivery miles, according to a listing at auction house…
At nearly 7 years old, the Aston Martin DB11 is starting to show its age, so it makes sense that we’d see at least an updated version like the one in these spy photos. They show a thinly disguised coupe, and the design revisions are pretty minimal, too. But they should come with some useful upgrades under the new body. The front fascia is really about all that’s changed on this car. The front grille is much larger, extending farther down and farther to each side than on the current DB11. The old slatted grille is gone, too, in favor…
A prototype for an electric compact crossover Ford will launch in early 2023 has been spotted for the first time. This is the model Ford is developing on Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular platform designed for mainstream electric vehicles, made possible by a deal hammered out between the two automakers in 2019. The MEB platform is basis for several vehicles including the Volkswagen ID.4 compact crossover, with which the Ford will likely be closely aligned. The prototype is fully camouflaged but we can still gather details on the basic shape and proportions. The design is close to what we saw in…
Tesla last week outlined some of the details that distinguish its heat pump system that’s now included throughout its vehicle lineup. The electric vehicle maker claims that its design performs well in very cold weather, where other heat pumps fall short. Depending on the exact situation, Tesla claims, its cars might be using as little as a quarter of the energy with the heat pump system than without, to keep the cabin warm. Overall, it can result in up to 20% less energy consumed during cold-weather travel, Tesla says—although it’s unclear if this is specifically referring to the energy consumed…
Formula 1 will continue with 23 rounds held in 2023, matching the record set in 2022, and three of them will be held in the U.S., highlighting the sport’s growing popularity here. The calendar for the 2023 F1 World Championship was published by the FIA in September 2022 and includes the new Las Vegas Grand Prix first announced in March. Scheduled for Nov. 18, the race will take place on a Saturday instead of the usual Sunday schedule. It’s the penultimate round and will take place at night to show off the lights of the famous strip which will form…
Quick Facts About Diagnosing Brake Problems Don’t delay any brake repair, as it’s critical for your safety to get it done immediately. A squeaking noise indicates that your brakes are worn and likely need replacement. Your brakes are made up of multiple parts, including rotors, brake pads, and calipers. Like any other moving part of your vehicle, the brakes could one day need repair. Unlike some car parts that can wait for repairs, it’s essential to get your brakes repaired immediately if you suspect an issue, and a mechanic can help diagnose the exact problem. Well-maintained brakes can mean the difference…
Those who have known me for a while – or have been reading the words I’ve been spewing on this and other sites – know that I’m a minivangelist. I’ve owned several (I’ve lost count) of these unrestrained vehicular symbols of virility and/or fertility, and have appreciated their presence in my driveway every time I had to bring home a dishwasher from the big-box store, or shuttle a few stray children about town. There is no vehicle type better suited for suburban families than a minivan. But nobody wants ‘em. “There goes Tonn preaching to the choir,” I can hear already.…
