Uber and UK autonomous-driving startup Wayve have launched what they say is Britain’s first autonomous ride-hailing service. As of yesterday, riders who request an UberX, Uber Electric, or Uber Comfort may be matched with a Mustang Mach-E fitted with the Wayve AI Driver. The autonomous ride doesn’t cost extra, and passengers can accept it or switch to a regular Uber before the car arrives. The service covers trips across London, excluding airports. Lamborghini has presented the Italian State Police with its latest supercar, the Temerario, continuing a tradition spanning more than 2 decades. The new Temerario Polizia was recently handed over to Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi by Lamborghini’s Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann. The handover ceremony took place at the Sant’Agata Bolognese HQ. The Temerario Polizia will be used for the most important services, including the emergency transport of organs and medical supplies. The supercar is painted in a special two-tone police livery complete with a set of flashing lights on top. Powering the Temerario Polizia is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 hybrid.…

The University at Buffalo is celebrating the deployment of eight new 40-foot electric transit buses, which are now quietly transporting students, staff, and campus visitors per day. The buses are the first in UB’s Stampede fleet to ditch diesel, kicking off a four-year effort to electrify the university’s campus transportation system.
