Jeremy Clarkson is parting ways with three very special cars. These have a special place in The Grand Tour history. They are the Alfa Romeo GTV6, Lancia Montecarlo Spider and Lincoln Continental Mark V.
The 1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6 appeared in the 2019 episode “Well Aged Scotch”, where Clarkson joined James May and Richard Hammond for a road trip along Scotland’s North Coast 500. Interestingly, Clarkson had owned a GTV6 before and regretted selling it. He later bought this example from its 83-year-old original owner, when it had covered just 20,000 miles. It now shows 28,315 miles.
The 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V featured in the 2021 special “Lochdown”, while the 1982 Lancia Montecarlo Spider has arguably the biggest connection to the show. Clarkson drove it during “One For The Road”, the final Grand Tour episode.
All three cars are being sold without reserve at the Iconic Auctioneers’ NEC Classic Motor Show on November 14.
Jeremy Clarkson says he rarely gets the chance to enjoy them anymore, so he believes they should go to someone who will.
